Join us and our guests from Misericordia Unviersity Road Scholar Program for a musical evening featuring "Tony Angelo in Concert". A $6.00 dinner will precede the ocncert at 5:45 pm. Reservaitons are required for dinner. Concert will begin at 7:00 pm. Enjoy the classic music we enjoyed from the Frank Sinatra & Tony Bennett era. Sit back and hum along with old familiar songs. Concert will begin at 7:00 pm with a reception immediately following.
Israeli Scouts
This year the JCA is thrilled to be hosting the Tzofim (Israeli Scouts) Friednship Caravan at the JCA on Tuesday, August 6 beginning at 7:00 pm. These incredibly talented Israeli teens tour North America every summer, singing and dancing and entertaining and representing Israeli as "ambassadors of goodwill." They will be teaching about life in Israel and their quest for peace through story, dance and song.
Through singing and dancing, and interacting with audiences, these teenage ambassadors share their love of their country, their history and their hopes for peace around the world.
A $6.00 dinner, at 5:45 pm will precede the concert. Reservations are required. The concert will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by a reception. Scouts will perform at camp on August 7. Call 824-4646 for more information.
The Scouts will be in town overnight August 6 and leaving from camp, August 7. Housing is needed for 12 Tzofim. Please call Barbara Sugarman and let her know you are interested in housing at 824-4646.

Registration is now being taken for the JCA Samuel Harrison Memorial Slo-Pitch Softball League.
Open to anyone 8th grade and up
Cost of the league is $50.00 payable at the JCA, 60 South River Street, Wilkes-Barre.
Starting Sunday, june 23rd, softball games will be played at the JCC Camp in Idetown, near Harvey's Lake. Games will start at 10:15 am on the lower softball field. Bring the whole family!
After the game you can put on your swimsuit in the newly renovated changing facilities, and the cool off in the pool, or just relax in the shade or on the grass.
The Sanck Shack will be grilling up all of your summertime favorites. Play some hoops or volleyball on the newly resrufaced courts.
It's a great place to bring the family on a sunny Sunday!

moreThe Jewish Community Alliance, in conjunction with Temple B'nai B'rith and Temple Israel, invite you to Friday Night Live on the River Common on June 7. There will be a Friday Nite service, led jointly by Rabbi Larry Kaplan, Temple Israel, Cantor Ahron Abraham, Temple Israel, and Rabbi Roger Lerner , Temple B'nai B'rith. We will meet at the Jewish Community Center building at 6:00 PM, and cross the street to the River Front as a community, so that the service can begin at 6:15. Friday night services will be celebrated at this time.
The rabbis, along with everyone in attendance, will sing Shabbat songs, recite Shabbat prayers and psalms, welcoming Shabbat.
Immediately following the service we will return to the building for an Italian dinner. Cost for dinner is $11.00 for Adults, $6.00 for children, and children under three are free. Reservations are required for dinner. Your check is your reservation. Candle lighting will take place at the tables.
Transportation is available to the Northampton Street Portal with prior reservations. Program will be held rain or shine.
