Surprise Cast
Recently the Jewish Community Center's Board of Trustee, Executive Committee and Board of Directors approved United Hebrew Institute students and teachers to move their educational school programs to the third floor of the Jewish Community Center beginning with the upcoming school year.
The process of consolidation under one roof began with the Jewish Federation board of directors encouraging the United Hebrew Institute and the JCC to work together. We thank the Jewish Federation Board of Directors for all their support of JCC programs.
The following changes within the JCC building will be forthcoming for our members and staff: Tallis Weaving and the Jewish War Veterans Room will move and share the Roth Auditorium on the second floor. Kinderlach, our school for 2 year olds will move to the lower level multi-purpose room and spinning room. Many of you remember that this is where Kinderlach was originally held. The multi-purpose room and spinning room will move to the Youth Fit Room, across from the Cardio Center. The Bridge Room, that was located in the Roth Auditorium, will move to the Jacobs Lounge on the first floor. Over the past two years, the JCC staff and members have been working together to make our JCC financially more responsible as we position ourselves for the future and become more financially stable.
We are looking forward to working with the United Hebrew Institute family as we strengthen our Jewish community. We are all looking forward to working with Rabbi Raphael Nemetsky, Joan Kleinman, president and the UHI educational staff as they provide a first rate education for their students as we strengthen our Jewish community. I would like to thank our members for their patience and understanding with the restructuring process and for the tremendous support you have shown towards our JCC programs.
